James Joyce: Наш общий друг Brant Bjork из коллектива Kyuss решил порадовать нас очередной пластинкой своей. С названием престранным - Джакузи. В 2010-м он приперся в студию с намерением записать еще один альбомец, однако настроение у него изменилось. Он начал сам себе джемовать. Сначала записал партию ударных на 8 треков. Потом гитары. Затем это всё свели в 8 треков и положили на полку. А сейчас вот решил выдать. Посмотрим, что он там сам себе накуролесил... Релиз - 5 апреля. "Back in December of 2010, I went into a house in Joshua Tree California to record another solo record. About 4 days into the sessions, I decided to abandon the 8 songs I was working on, told my long time friend and engineer, Tony Mason, to start rolling tape and I proceeded to play drums in my natural improv style. After multiple drum track performances were captured, I then started layering guitars, bass and percussion in the same improvisational spirit. I essentially decided to "jam" by myself for the rest of my scheduled sessions. When the recording session had finally come to an end, I put the 8 unfinished tracks on the "shelf" as well as my "solo jam session" tracks. I was much more content with the "jam" tracks as it was a creative release that was needed at that time. I decided to call the collective tracks, Jacoozzi. At the time, it reminded me of the feeling of my first solo recording sessions for my first solo release, Jalamanta.... only more "free". At that time in 2010, I had no formal plans to release any of the music from those sessions....Jacoozzi included." - Brant Bjork

The one with dozing Professor Abronsius in his coach, unaware of what he's bringing back with him from the east? 50 years on, KADAVAR did the exact same thing. They ventured east - and brought something with them: A gothic horror story turned doom rock. With a decidedly morbid turn, Europe's hardest working rock band unearth their dark and twisted roots, once and for all defining their unique brand of retro rock, doom and proto metal. Aptly entitled "For The Dead Travel Fast" after German gothic poet Gottfried August Bürger, their doomed fifth record is a perilous journey into the land of the dead, a foray into the bleakest corners of our minds. A heavy, slow-paced, throbbing force of guitar, bass and drums, preciously enriched by spooky synths and a brooding narrative reminiscent of the Victorian death-cult. Beware, this is KADAVAR gone pitch-black! "Old horror soundtracks and Werner Herzog's "Dracula" had a huge impact on this album", drumming maniac Tiger states. James Joyce: Не зря я когда-то Mammoth Mammoth ошибочно назвал немцами. Вот и проявилась их немецкая сущность. Новый альбом, который скоро выйдет называется Kreuzung (перекресток, по-моему, по-немецки). Судя по клипу и они нас удивят... правда, пока не знаю, хорошо или не очень удивят...Я пока даже и не понял, что они заиграли)))
