Vodkasatan: Incredible Hog пиздос!!!! Roadburn is very proud to present the first performance by heavy 70s legends Incredible Hog in over 35 years. The band will appear at Roadburn Festival’s Midi Theatre on Friday, April 15th, 2011, Tilburg, Holland. Pairing prog, proto hard rock and meaningful lyrics with the very soul of metallic drivin’ acid blues, the London-based trio released their debut album Volume 1 in mid ’73. Despite the buzz surrounding their debut and critical acclaim, commercial success proved out of reach. Apparently, Volume 1 was too ahead of its time to catch on with a larger audience. This, along with record label apathy, forced the band to fold before the year was In the meantime, Volume I has become a highly sought-after relic from the early 70′s British (prog) rock boom, and rightfully hailed as a bona fide classic. Various reissues have kept both the album and the spirit of Incredible Hog alive, not only among proto-hard rock and prog-rock connoisseurs but also in the contemporary ‘stoner rock’ scene. Rise Above Relics, led by Cathedral‘s Lee Dorrian, is currently working on a definitive re-issue of Volume 1, the sole album of Incredible Hog. Bassist Jim Holmes comments: “We haven’t gigged together for well over 35 years. We’ve talked about reforming loads of times but at least one of us was always busy playing in another band. The opportunity to play a prestigious gig like Roadburn has made all the difference. We’re definitely all up for this and can’t wait. It’ll be amazing.” “This is a great scoop to get one of the UK’s coolest underground hard rock bands of the early 70’s to reform for the Roadburn setting” , says Lee Dorrian. “It’s been an honour working with the guys on a detailed reissue of Volume 1 that Rise Above Relics is currently putting together. They are still very passionate about what they do, and I’m certain they won’t disappoint. We’re in for a treat – all hail the Hog!”

We are extremely proud to announce that Circle will be Artists-In-Residence at the 2011 Roadburn Festival, April 14-16 at the Midi Theatre, Tilburg, Holland. Circle and side project Pharaoh Overlord will be bringing their relentless riffs and genre-destroying musical virtuosity back to Roadburn for the first time since 2007. Circle will be drawing from their enormous (33+ full length records!) discography to play two completely different sets from their 2010 European tour. With their style ranging from psychedelic rock to free jazz, with literally dozens of other genres between, they has been one of the most diverse musical groups of our time, and if there was ever a band designed to play multiple sets at a festival, it would be Circle. Not only do they have literally hundreds of songs to choose from, but they are also extremely creative and capable of musically changing styles and sounds at the drop of a studded leather hat. Add in their bizarre-but-consummate showmanship, and you have a compelling recipe for maximum entertainment. Circle spin-off band Pharaoh Overlord will be playing for one set as well, and anyone who saw them in 2007 knows that it will be something quite unforgettable. They take stoner rock and deconstruct it to it’s most minimal form, The Riff, resulting in music that is akin to well-muscled instrumental kraut rock. Combining their deliberate heaviness with a unique on-stage delivery, they induce a psychotropic stoner-sufi trance that is as much a riff worship ritual as it is a musical performance. After a 4-year recording hiatus, they have recently released their new album, Siluurikaudella.

Я всегда говорил, что жители Туманного Альбиона, не очень сильны в исполнении блэк мИтола Я бы их вообще не звали, есть получше группы

PhillO))): небольшой процент говнеца должен быть на каждом фесте так можно сконцентрироваться на достойных и интересных группах. да и просто пивка попить, перекурить а вообще там 4 сцены. если вдруг где-то залип и разочаровался, уже через пол минуты можешь найти себе чегонить повкусу.

Fear not, however – we are continuing to work on additional acts from all fields, whether post-rock, dark psychedelica, stonerrock,doom, heavy psych or avant-metal, and we will always mix classic sounds with the cutting edge. If we’re adding a band to the line-up, it’s because either we feel they need to be heard, or that the recent performances or recordings by these bands deserve them a slot on the bill. There are no politics here, just the music that keeps us inspired and which moves us. In the end, we always strive to bring you a well-balanced festival, and we’re in talks with dozens of bands, so the acts announced so far are only the tip of the iceberg. Rest assured that we have a lot of interesting tricks up our sleeve, all of which will come to light by the time that pre-sales begin later this year. (We don’t know the exact date that pre-sales will begin just yet, but the pre-sale date will be announced shortly). Honcho: Веселый собирается состав...но мои фавориты в нем отсутствуют. Прошлый фестиваль ИМХО был интереснее, и богаче на охуенные коллективы. Хотя, как говорится "еще не вечер" посмотрим кого они наприглашают, до Апреля еще много времени

Нет групп, ради которых хотелось бы расшибиться в лепешку, но найти возможность посетить фестиваль. Пока для себя могу отметить только несколько ДЕЙСТВИТЕЛЬНО очень интересных групп: - Cough - Pentagram - Blood Ceremony - Blood Farmers - Black Pyramid - Acid King Маловато будет (с). Так что ждемс еще анонсов.... p.s. Забыл сказать, на Swans я бы тоже посмотрел
Vodkasatan: Honcho пишет: Electric Wizard, Church of Misery, Goatsnake, Sons of Otis боюсь, что из этого никого не будет. про Electric Wizard органы писали; Church of Misery там 3 года подряд играли, к тому же х.з. че у них там с гитаристом; ну а Goatsnake и Sons of Otis врятли, т.к. в этом году играли не знаю, мне лично ваще все интересны из лайнапа. Wovenhand, Year of No Light и Winterfylleth, возможно, немного меньше, чем остальное
